Our Software Has Moved to a Professional Service
Looking for Disk Doctors data recovery software? Our software titles have been discontinued — here's what to do instead.
We've retired our full range of data recovery software, including our Windows, Mac, Linux, Solaris, photo recovery, data sanitizer and file shredder tools, in favour of professional, engineer-led data recovery. Whatever you were hoping the software would fix, our lab can very likely recover it — including situations no software could ever reach.

This software title has been discontinued.
It's no longer available to purchase, download, reinstall or licence. If you're dealing with data loss right now, our engineers can help — often in situations software never could.
From Award-Winning Software to Professional Data Recovery
For many years, Disk Doctors designed and distributed a range of data recovery and disk utility software, trusted by home users, IT professionals and businesses across Windows, Mac, Linux, Solaris and other platforms. Our tools earned a strong reputation for reliability and depth of recovery.
After years of working at the intersection of software tools and hands-on recovery, we made a deliberate choice: to discontinue our software range and invest entirely in what delivers the best outcome for customers facing data loss — professional, engineer-led, laboratory-grade data recovery. No software, however well designed, can match what our engineers achieve in a controlled environment with specialist tools.
Why Professional Data Recovery Outperforms Software
Software can only read a drive that's still healthy enough to respond. It can't help with physically damaged, clicking or seized drives, and a failed DIY attempt can overwrite the very data you're trying to save.
- Recovers data from physically damaged, clicking or seized drives that no software can reach
- Class 100 clean room environment prevents further damage during recovery
- Handles severe file system corruption, RAID array failures and encrypted volumes
- No risk of overwriting or permanently destroying recoverable data mid-attempt
- Free evaluation and a firm quote before any work begins
Our Data Recovery Process
Our data recovery process is secure, transparent, and designed to minimise downtime. Here's how it works:
Send us your device using the free postage label and our engineers will assess it for free. We'll let you know exactly what's recoverable before you commit.
We create a full, bit-by-bit clone of your storage media to preserve the original. Your data remains untouched while we work on the image copy.
Depending on the fault, we use cleanroom hardware repairs or forensic software tools to extract your data, even from damaged or encrypted media.
You'll receive a file list of everything we can recover. Once approved, we'll return your data on a secure USB drive or via encrypted cloud transfer.
